Compulsory attendance in summer semester 2021 at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities

Hey everybody,
We hope that you’ve had a good start to the summer semester and that Corona hasn’t been too hard on you. Since there are always new regulations in the current phase, we wanted to briefly inform you about a decision by the Faculty Examination Board that could probably affect some of you. In brief:
In contrast to the last two semesters, it is again possible to require compulsory attendance in seminars if this is specified in the examination regulations. However, it is important that students are not disadvantaged if they cannot attend a meeting due to situations that are not their own fault.
Ideally, in this case a direct solution can be worked out with the lecturer. If you encounter any problems or have any questions about the decision, please get in touch with us as the student council or directly with our teaching department (lehre@fskowi.rwth-aachen.de), and we will of course be happy to support you.
